Spectrum Reach is the marketing and ad sales division of Spectrum/Charter Communications. Spectrum Reach utilizes Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Social Studio, and many additional platforms to deploy digital marketing campaigns to customers across the United States.
Free Commercial Promotion
With a greater focus on minority-owned business, Spectrum Reach began an offer to help build small businesses in underrepresented areas. The campaign utilizes a mixed-media feel and takes advantage of some lesser used, tertiary brand colors. The result is a lively, energetic campaign, intended on building excitement for this offer.
Along with email, this campaign also included multiple digital banners and social media posts. Below is a piece I created for distribution on LinkedIn. When I re-shared the original LinkedIn post from Spectrum Reach’s account, I found the design to be incredibly impactful. In one week, my post had received 377 views, 26 reactions, five comments, and two re-shares.
This campaign was not a solo venture. Dozens of additional materials were created by two of my teammates over the course of roughly two weeks.
Rebuild My Town Digital Mosaic Email Campaign
As part of Spectrum Reach’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we created a way for small businesses to promote themselves through a digital mosaic. Focusing on our largest markets, we encouraged local business owners to provide us with an image of their business along with contact information. The images were compiled on top of city-scape images representing 35 different markets.
This email was the first in a series of messages aimed at promoting participation. Utilizing AMPscript, I was able to dynamically populate a different header image and body copy based on the target market. The emails were not only mobile-responsive, by dark mode compatible as well.
The campaign was incredibly successful, with over 7,700 small business participating in the mosaic project.
Rebound Digital Banner Ads
This series of digital banner ads were created in early 2020, shortly after quarantine orders began across the country as a response to COVID-19. Rebound was a campaign that was used to ease help calm fears during what was the most frightening and challenging time most businesses had endured. The interlocking forward symbols represent unity. They are a sign that Spectrum Reach would maintain their partnerships and continue to support small business. The light blue background was chosen because it associated with healing and renewal.
The Rebound campaign was part of multi-phase campaign that would launch over the course of 2020. Following Rebound, Spectrum Reach initiated the Rebuild and Relaunch campaigns.
Multiscreen Advertising Email Campaign
Spectrum Reach provides our customers with the ability to advertise every their clients may watch TV. In today’s digital age, TV can be the flat box in your living room, your laptop computer, or even your cell phone.
This campaign focused on two main groups; automotive dealers and all other business. Automotive dealers were targeted with a different header image and body copy. Content was populated dynamically utilizing AMPscript and dynamic content blocks available within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
CONVERGE
I created a series of customizable email templates as part of Spectrum Reach’s annual Upfront event CONVERGE. These email templates are mobile responsive and allowed designers the flexibility to customize graphics and contents for each city that an event took place in. With dozens of local market events, it was important to create a system that would enable a fast turn-around, while still creating engaging graphics.
We established three unique header image templates, intended to target events held in major cities like New York, events in smaller cities like St. Louis, and localized events, referred to as Client Appreciation Events.
In addition to the email templates, I worked with a team of designers in creating the visual direction for additional materials including social media and printed materials. Our efforts culminated in being awarded a Bronze Telly Award for Campaign – Branded Content.
Free Webinar Digital Banner Ads
This series of digital banner ads was created to promote a free webinar. The design is simple, allowing the messaging to be the focus. Through A/B testing, we discovered that ads with a yellow button did receive significantly higher click through rates than our traditional light blue or dark blue button.
Media Buying 101 Digital Banner Ads
This series of digital banner ads was created to promote a new white paper and drive new prospective clients to the Spectrum Reach website. The maze background was inspired completely by the copy.
